Ravings of a Crazy woman!

So much for Rider Pride....

Okay, I'm not much of a football fan. One would suspect someone like [info]davehogg would more likely like to write a sport piece.

That said, it was Grey Cup Sunday (think Super Bowl Sunday, but Canadian). The Saskatchewan Roughriders versus the Montreal Alouettes. Saskatchewan were the underdogs coming into the match.

The Riders were up by 14 points at half time. In the last few minutes of the 4th quarter, the Riders were up by 2 points.

Montreal managed to get the ball within field goal range with less than 10 seconds left on the clock. The Alouettes kick the ball for the field goal - it goes wide! But wait! Flag on the play.

Too many men on the field. Saskatchewan. 10 yard penalty. Montreal gets a second chance (a 33 yard field goal). It's good.

Final score: Montreal 28 - Saskatchewan 27.

We lost because the Rider coaching staff have problems counting to 12. Granted, we like to think that we have 13 players on the field - but that 13th player is actually the Rider fan base, not actually an extra player! Grrr...

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the lamest way to lose a championship game.

William Shakespeare

Never was a story of more woe
Than this of Juliet, and her Jo.

Which work of Shakespeare was the original quote from?

So, is there anyone in my area who can help me find a good, reliable replacement for her? Needless to say she's a total loss.

To all my friends and loved ones, I hope you have a wonderful and happy Valentine's day. I'm sorry I did not send out personal greetings (I was hoping to), but Circumstances Beyond my Control prevented me.

I love you all, and when I'm feeling a bit more conscious, I'll write more about what's been happening.

It's been a day.

It's snowing again! *sigh* I'm tired of the snow.

Walking from Place Riel to the College and Admin buildings via the tunnels got me thinking - Maxwell Smart walking down the hall with all the doors shutting behind him. Am I the only one who thinks that?

The Godling started his dance class. He's learning a hip-hop routine and how to jive. The instructor is really good - she's praising him for what he's doing (he can't get the whole body to coordinate just yet, but he's trying!). And, I'm his partner for the jive part of the lesson. He laughed so much when we were trying to jive. We were getting our arms all tangled (which was funny), and he giggled when they played "Rockin' Robin" (so we can jive to it). He's looking forward to next class - and I get to participate as well!

Went to the new Wal-Mart store. That store has a time-warp! I went in just to get come Coke, and after an hour, I managed to walk out with more things than I really needed. Bah! Stupid place doesn't have a clock visible (which adds to the time-warp). I now have more music to add to my iPod.

Aww, man!

Not only did we have a charming blizzard yesterday (I won't get into it about driving in near-whiteout conditions), but now, we're faced with a windchill warning for the next day or so.

Aww, man!

I'm oddly frightened. The good luck charm (by the audio/video crew) for the Blades? David Hasselhoff.

Help me.
